After a spell at The Leith School of Art Francesca studied Fine Art Drawing & Painting at Glasgow School of Art. She then went on to study fashion design, which was where she discovered her true calling.
Francesca now runs her own fashion illustration business based in Glasgow West End.

Glaswegian writer Claire MacLeary talks to Pat about her development as a writer and her latest book, 'Burnout'
Jim & Pat's Glasgow West End Podcast: Episode 22
Claire MacLeary is a Glaswegian writer. She writes short stories and crime novels. Her first book 'Cross Purpose', published by Contraband in 2017, was long list for the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year.
Her second book 'Burnout' is a follow up features the same memorable characters. Whilst firmly entrenched in ‘Tartan Noir’, including appearing at ‘Bloody Scotland’, Claire’s writing has ‘a strong sense of the domestic'.
Pat met Claire in the iconic Ubiquitous Chip for a chat.

Professor Gerard Carruthers: from working class roots in Clydebank to the Francis Hutcheson Chair of Scottish Literature at Glasgow University.
Professor Gerard Carruthers is considered one of the leading scholars on the works of Robert Burns. His work ranges widely across Scottish literature, including - among others - Walter Scott, Muriel Spark and Thomas Muir.
Jim spoke to him about his journey from his early days in Clydebank with some significant milestones along the way. It's a fascinating and entertaining journey. Podcast not to be missed.
